I had high hopes for 2020. Not just a new year, but a new decade.
I sat, I reflected on the year gone by, and I wrote a plan using The Year Compass.
Then along came Covid-19, and you know what happened next - we became living participants in our future Great-Grandchildren's History exam questions.
But what about my plans?! Well, the only thing that manifested was enforced and prolonged quality time with my daughter. Unexpected, and highly unusual, but a blessing all the same!
What to do with all this spare time?
Jigsaws, art, baking, conversations and laughter were the prevailing pass-times, but I also got serious and started working on a project that I had been toying with for years... Totes Caribbean.
Suddenly, an idea that had been rattling around in my brain in various forms became real. I had products to make, an Etsy page to stock, social media outlets to maintain, and orders to fulfill. To say the last few months has been a whirlwind would be an understatement!
But what next?
It seems fitting to me, that my 2021 should start with as much fervour as my 2020 ended. In other words...
A new year calls for a new [business] home, a new blog and new products. So, let's start here with the first blog post on the new website. What do you think?
I'd love for you to have a look around, tell me what you like and what kind of things you'd enjoy seeing here. And don't forget to join the mailing list, so you're the first to know about new products and promotional offers.
In the meantime, tell me what plans you have for the next 12 months and how you are starting 2021 off? Let's chat in the comments.
